Our Mission?
TO HELP YOU LIVE A PAIN FREE AND HAPPY LIFE, DOING THE THINGS YOU WANT TO DO, ON YOUR TERMS.
Thomas Fitzgerald, founder of Fitzgerald Physiotherapy Clinic, Abbeyfeale Co. Limerick has always had a keen interest in health and fitness. He completed a degree in Sports and Exercise Science in the University of Limerick. With a thirst for further knowledge, he went on to complete a Masters in Physiotherapy in the UK.
After this, Thomas worked in the NHS in all areas of physiotherapy, namely musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurology, respiratory, community and paediatrics. Thomas then specialised in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, and worked at senior level, seeing patients with complex back, neck, hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, upper limb and sports injuries. He has also worked with people after shoulder, hip, knee and ankle surgeries. At the same time, he ran a private practice in Edinburgh with a fellow colleague.
He then took on a new challenge, working in a rehabilitation physiotherapy clinic in New Zealand. During this time he worked as a physiotherapist for the International Rugby Academy of New Zealand, looking after the up and coming All Blacks of the future. This experience led him to be offered the privileged position of Head Physiotherapist for the Turbos Professional Rugby Team. This meant looking after many international and super rugby players, including some notable All Black Rugby Players.
This vast experience means Thomas is in a great position to offer expert physiotherapy treatment to the people of Abbeyfeale and surrounding areas. Whether you're an elite sports person in his/her prime, or an elderly person looking to maintain your independence, everyone is treated just the same once you walk in the door.
